Layflat hose is a light weight flexible PVC lay flat hose, for delivery of liquids under pressure. Suitable for a range of applications such as drainage, water supply, irrigation and sprinkler systems. This can also be used for chemical transfer such as liquid fertilisers and other agricultural chemicals. Our PVC Lay flat hoses with polyester reinforcement are very flexible and resistant to kinks allowing for easy transportation when not in use.
Lay Flat discharge hose is only suitable for open ended discharge applications and the pressure ratings are based on discharge pressure from the pump unit. It is worth noting that any substantial increase in temperature above 20oC can result in a decline in working operational pressure values.
The Blue & Yellow Lay Flat Pipe / Tube is resistant both oils and greases (as referred to above) but are not suitable for use with benzene, petrol, spirits, xylol, toluol or solvents containing aromatics.
The hose is designed for the transportation of water, liquids, fertilisers and chemicals. It is ideal for water supply and garden and horticulture irrigation systems, including running sprinklers and fertilising crops.
Flexible layflat discharge hose is compatible with any water pumps. It is suitable for drainage, water supply, irrigation, sprinkler systems and more. Unfolding and flattening the hose in a straight line can maximise the pumping capacity and avoid the formation of a kink when in use. Easily store and transport by simply rolling it up. It is made from PVC braid with polyester in blue & yellow, offering durability, flexibility and reliability. It will not leak even when being scratched or scraped over any rough surfaces. It can handle working pressure up to 4 bar and bursting pressure up to 12 bar.
Values are given based on the short term burst pressure of the hose at 20°C based on a 3:1 safety factor. This product is only suitable for open ended discharge applications. Pressure ratings are based on discharge pressure from the pump unit
Provides the benefits of high performance with lightness in weight when compared with same size of spiral PVC delivery hose and rubber discharge hoses. Additionally, it is easier to store, to handle and to transport.
Lay Flat Hoses are resistant to the oils and greases. These hoses are not suitable for use with benzene, petrol, spirits, xylol, tuluol or solvents containing aromatics. Layflat hoses are resistant to most oxidising and reducing agents and diluted acids and alkalies as well as being toughened to avoid damage from abrasion whilst in use.
What is Layflat Hose? Layflat hose is made from PVC. As the name suggests one of its key properties is the hose's ability to be laid flat for storage purposes; they are used for the delivery of water in roles such as construction or irrigation; when it is not easy to transport water.
All discharge hoses below are used specifically for the discharge side of a pump. Most are soft wall and collapsible, and some roll up flat. ... It is designed as a heavy duty hose for water discharge in industrial and construction applications, is strong and rolls up flat for easy storage.
Lay flat hose is only used for the delivery of fluid and not for any suction applications, as the hose has no ridged reinforcement that would enable it to retain its shape under suction..
It is really pretty simple just measure across the outside diameter of the output fitting on your pump. Or other output. Take a look at our video guide on how to measure layflat hose.
uction hose conducts the water from your water source (lake, river, pond, etc.) to your pump. Discharge hose delivers the water from the pump to the nozzle.
Layflat hoses are usually made of plastics. That is why they are lighter and more flexible than rubber hoses for water which facilitates easier operations and handling the hose assembly.
